AIATA Wayfinder 38 is the new star of international yachting. Officially launched at Boot Düsseldorfe then presented at the Bosphorus Boat Show, this innovative 38-footer produced in Turkey represents a revolution in the modular powerboat segment.
The product of the experience of the giant Anadolu Group and Nordic design by Finnish studio Navia Design, the AIATA Wayfinder 38 is much more than a boat: it is an evolutionary platform, capable of adapting to the lifestyle, passions and needs of its owner.
So… what’s so special about the Wayfinder 38? In a word: versatility. In reality, it is much more than a word. The Wayfinder 38 is a boat that can be three boats, thanks to a modular architecture that keeps the hull and deck unchanged while radically transforming the on-board experience through three configurations: Cabin, Open and Fishing. A revolutionary concept, designed to adapt over time to the needs of different owners, or the same owner, at different life stages.
AIATA: a modular concept that changes
With the same hull (11.6 metres in length, 3.5 in maximum beam, up to 53 knots of maximum speed with engines from 250 to 425 horsepower) AIATA allows you to choose and, over time, even transform the upper layout.
- Cabin: for those seeking comfort and roominess even in the mid-season or for longer cruises. The driving area is well protected, with an L-shaped lounge, integrated kitchen, teak trim and a warm, cosy interior. The cabin has a queen-size double bed, enclosed bathroom and space designed for maximum liveability.
- Open: perfect for sunny days and summer excursions. Outdoor spaces take centre stage in an environment that combines visual lightness, fluidity between indoors and outdoors and a sophisticated look with light oak finishes.
- Fishing: dedicated to sport fishing purists, it offers functional and ergonomic fittings, such as ample free space in the stern, rod holders, dedicated lockers, and a wet bar area that can be converted if necessary. All without sacrificing comfort, luxury and safety.
This transformability is not just an exercise in style, but a concrete response to the needs of modern yachtsmen. Even years after purchase, the Wayfinder 38 can be upgraded and transformed, thanks to a modular system that allows work on the superstructure and interior without having to replace the entire boat.
Technology in the service of navigation
Behind the essential elegance of the Wayfinder 38 lies a concentration of technology and engineering of the highest level. From the vacuum infusion construction to the use of vinylester resin to protect against osmosis and moisture, every detail is designed for durability, lightness and structural strength.
Another strong point is the application of FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis. A technology usually reserved for larger yachts, here used to optimise loads, reduce unnecessary weight and increase strength. This means superior performance, manoeuvrability, speed (as we said up to 53 knots), and a high degree of navigational comfort thanks to reduced vibration and noise.
The production process is also state-of-the-art: AIATA relies on specialised robots for gelcoat application and material cutting, guaranteeing millimetric precision and flawless finishes. The entire machining cycle is in-house, with total control over every stage, from the initial design to the final sea test.
Wayfinder 38: Nordic elegance, Turkish heart
The Wayfinder 38’s styling bears the Scandinavian signature of Navia Design, led by Jarkko Jämsén, but it is in Turkish industrial and manufacturing know-how that it finds its solid anchorage. The clean lines, well-distributed volumes and minimalist style reflect the Nordic philosophy, while the manufacturing soul is all Turkish.
The interiors are warm, bright, dominated by wood and a neutral palette that reflects light and amplifies space. The high sides (up to 1 metre) guarantee safety on board even for families with children, while the flared bow and second hull keep the deck dry even in rough sea conditions.
The walkaround layout encourages freedom of movement and conviviality, with intelligent storage and modular furniture solutions. Each element is designed to accompany relaxed yet high-performance navigation, striking a perfect balance between practicality and luxury.
The AIATA Wayfinder 38 is manufactured in Çayırova, near Istanbul, in a state-of-the-art shipyard of over 20,000 m², where robotic technologies, quality control and high construction standards guarantee reliable and high-performance products.
AIATA Wayfinder 38: from name to reality
The brand name, AIATA, takes its name Ay Ata from “Grandfather Moon” in Turkish mythology, a figure who guided sailors by night light. And it is precisely this idea (the Moon as a beacon on the seas) that inspires the brand in its philosophy: to be a point of reference for those looking for something more than just a boat.
The AIATA Wayfinder 38 is not just another boat: it is three boats in one. Cabin, Open or Fishing? You just have to choose. But the real revolution is that the choice is not definitive.
