Design and exterior of Tuccoli T295 SF Montecristo
\n<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

At first glance, the T295 SF Montecristo impresses with its strong yet elegant lines<\/b>. The vertical bow<\/b> and taut cavel<\/b> express strength and character, while the high walls at the bow<\/b> immediately inspire confidence. The low cockpit<\/b>, compared to the deck plan, improves stability in navigation and makes every activity on board safer, especially for the little ones.<\/span><\/p>\n

All this is developed on a purewalkaround hull<\/b>, with wide, protected walkways<\/b> that make access to every area of the boat simple and safe, even when navigating.<\/span><\/p>\n

The test: T295 SF Montecristo: the “family fisherman”<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

It is a June afternoon, the sun is blazing hot in Cala de Medici, in the province of Livorno, and after visiting the entire production facility in Collesalvetti, the Tuccoli team brought us here for the sea test of their new product: Tuccoli T295 SF Montecristo<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

If it is true that it is 30 degrees under the sun, it is also true that there is a lot of wind here in the marina. There’s a short wave<\/strong> of 30\/40 centimetres that is being driven by the Mistral wind to be crypt and breaky<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We take a bit of time to admire the two versions, the T295 VM (Marco Volpi) in honour of the three-time world sports fishing champion<\/b> and testimonial for Suzuki Marine, has a unique palmares that has no equal in fishing or in any other sporting activity: 24 world titles<\/b> and 21 times national champion<\/b> at individual level. <\/span><\/p>\n

And then we move on to the Tuccoli T295 SF Montecristo: the standard motorisation includes a pair of Suzuki DF300AP<\/b>, with an option for a single 600 hp outboard. We’ve done the description before, now let’s cast off our moorings and see how she performs! <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"The mistral wind and wave outside was the ideal context to put the Tuccoli T295 SF Montecristo<\/b> to the test.<\/p>\n

At 34 knots, with the engines at 5600 rpm, the boat never hit the water: the sensation, rather, was one of surprising smoothness, accompanied by a robustness that conveys confidence. The boat weighs, and you can feel it, but not in a bad way: that mass translates into stability<\/strong> and control<\/strong>, with no annoying splashes, and with the walkways and cockpit remaining dry throughout the test. Only the hull at the bow, stressed by the wind, threw up some spray, but nothing that disturbed navigation.<\/p>\n

\"\"Even when tacking tight, at 30 knots<\/strong> against the wind and waves, the boat proved impeccable<\/strong>: no discomfort, always clean trim and great balance. Gliding already starts at 10.3 knots, while up to 25 knots consumption remains optimised, with around 102 litres\/hour, despite the dirty hull and almost full tanks (100 litres of water and 350 litres of fuel on board). The cockpit<\/strong> remained dry in all conditions, and without the aid of zipwakes the hull maintained a neutral and stable trim.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are, however, also aspects to be noted with honesty: above 30 knots, the engines become decidedly noisier, and in tight turns, when the hull tilts a lot, the hard top restricts visibility<\/strong> outwards. A useful solution to be studied in the boatyard could be the introduction of larger windows. The best driving position remains the standing<\/strong> one, because from the stool the view is less effective even for me, who is 1.75 m tall. The steering wheel feels very light, at times perhaps too much so, while the handgrips are notable for their sensitivity and prompt response.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the whole, however, the dominant sensation is one of extreme safety<\/b>: the T295 Montecristo moves smoothly even in short and messy seas, it doesn’t creak, it remains stable in all conditions and conveys the idea of a robust, solid boat, built to tackle the sea<\/strong> without compromise. <\/span><\/p>\n

It is clear that the bow designed in this way was a winning choice: the T295 SF Montecristo always transmits the idea of solidity, safety and great balance, qualities that really make the difference at sea.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"TuccoliTuccoli T295 SF Montecristo<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Tuccoli T295 SF Montecristo<\/b> leaves the feeling of a solid, safe and concrete boat. It does not seek special effects, but convinces by balance and reliability<\/strong>. The hull, all in fibreglass and of considerable weight, offers comfort and stability even in demanding conditions, while the low centre of gravity and carbon T-top enhance seaworthiness. <\/span><\/p>\n

She isn’t perfect: the steering wheel is too light and the view partially obstructed when turning by the hard top are details that can be improved, as are some finishes that don’t reach the level of other shipyards. But if the judgement is based on navigation, safety and value for money, the Montecristo turns out to be an extremely successful cruising fisherman<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

A boat designed for those who want to do a lot of cruising<\/strong>, with family or friends, without ever jeopardising comfort and tranquillity… and in this aspect, navigation and socialising spaces, it definitely surpasses<\/strong> many other boats of its size. <\/span><\/p>\n
